Why the british loyalist lost the war
The British lost the war against the Americans because they needed a better understanding of what they were fighting for. The Americans were defending their families and homes with great spirit while the British were fighting for the crown, rather than themselves so much. There were also other things in the way like that their army simply wasn't large enough to take up enough square miles worth of territory in North America. There were disadvantages like the Americans fighting on home land, so it took a long time for supplies to get to the British. This obviously made them weaker as the Patriots grew stronger. Of course, there is "personal investment." Colonials were fighting for their homes and families. British soldiers were fighting for the crown's property, not necessarily themselves. They just thought it was their job.
